As a retailer, Rare Carat covers the whole value chain from shipping, logistics, payment processing (credit cards, BNPL financing…), to post-purchase services such as returns, resizings and exchanges. Founded in 2016, we have grown into one of the largest online diamond jewelry retailers in the United States over the past decade thanks to our competitive prices, our very high quality standards and our industry-recognized customer support team. Our low overhead (no physical stores) allows us to keep prices low, and our customer-first culture allows us to guarantee you’ll be satisfied.

Our founder Ajay Anand is not from the diamond industry. He was just a regular guy who bought an engagement ring, and hated the process.
And we are passionate about making it easier for the next couples that have to go through it. Because it can be unnecessarily confusing and scary. You’ll find us online on chat both early in the morning and late at night, because we simply love what we do!. Rare Carat Inc is a US-based company bringing together expertise from across the diamond industry. Our team includes over one hundred GIA-trained Gemologists, several of whom have experience grading stones at the GIA itself. We complement this gem knowledge with data scientists and math PhDs who analyze diamond pricing and trends. Behind our website is a dedicated engineering team working hard to maximize your experience. All of this talent is guided by experienced business leaders, whose north star is customer satisfaction.
